As Harry Potter readied himself to face Voldemort a final time, there were many who felt that the Wizarding world was teetering on the brink of a golden age. Those who stood with the Order of the Phoenix longed for a period of peace and safety, free of the dark cloud that was Tom Riddle. Those who bore the dark mark prepared to welcome a new society that embraced purity and order. Both sides clinging to ideal visions described by their leaders. Many would sacrifice, but none would see their ambitions bear fruit. Now four sides scramble to fill the power vacuum left in Voldemort's wake, turning father against son, neighbour against neighbour, and leaving society in ruins. Which side will you fight for? Gellert Grindelwald killed Albus Dumbledore on a muggle street and rose to power. Nothing is like it should be. It wasn't long before Grindelwald extended his power to the muggle world as well as the magical world. Halfbloods, muggleborns, and even muggles live in fear. Breaking boundaries and rewriting old laws, he controlled everything he could see. Unhappy with just that, he stretched his power, spanning countries. The Class of the Chrysanthemum rose early against the dark dictator, only to be broken into factions when their leader, Cassiopeia Black, met her untimely death at the end of Grindelwald's wand. Still the Class of the Chrysanthemum fought on in factions, not knowing who to trust. It's war, but no one seems to know it. The game is set in 2001 currently. Grindelwald's is coming out publicly, eventually, with his relationship with Vlad Tepelus. The plot and arcs depend and focus on the reactions of the characters over Grindwald's decisions, his new leadership role and loyalty, and the actions he takes as a consequences that effects all. The plots also focus on relationships of current characters that unfold. Once a month, the mods plan an event for the game. Reopened March 5th, 2012! Broken shards were sent in all directions, each intent on accomplishing their own illusions of power and control. With the abrupt loss of the iron control over his supporters, the death of the Dark Lord created a power vacuum that has sent all sides scrambling to fill it. Death eaters rally under the Lestrange brothers, Werewolves aim to increase their numbers, the Ministry fights for control, and the Order seeks to eliminate what they consider as the source of the problem. Amongst this new power struggle, the statue of secrecy has been all but destroyed. Britain is being isolated from the rest of the world, slowly being destroyed as each side battles the other. He had to distinguish himself in some way, set the tune for how his administration was going to run things. He spent the summer doing research, thinking and planning. What he came up with is what he has deemed the Penpal Project. It is based upon a muggle tradition of exchanging letters with someone you don't know. In an effort to increase House unity, Headmaster Heavensbee has assigned all the students anonymous penpals in other Houses, with whom they will be required to correspond during the year. Some students are curious, some are irritated, but what's clear is that it's going to make for an interesting year. Epistolium is a next-gen, canon-compliant RPG set in 2023, with an emphasis on building CR (due to a combination of optional blurbs, the penpal project, and required storylines, new characters can enter the game with more than six lines ready to play!). Your characters won't be fighting for their lives in this game; just their social lives. [09 Apr 2012|11:21pm] chaperoned AN AU MARAUDERS ERA RPG Dumbledore never defeated Grindelwald in 1945. Instead, he sat idly by as Grindelwald seized control over the countries surrounding England. Soon, Grindelwald's influence crept into England, causing a split within the nation that would lead to the emergence of two groups: the Knights of Walpurgis, who supported Grindelwald's aims (no relation to a certain Tom Riddle who hasn't been heard from for decades), and the Order of the Phoenix, headed by Dumbledore himself.
